10 months in 8 minutes :)

Finally, I've managed to make a video of my 10 months experience as a sports volunteer in Africa :)
It wasn't easy, since I have thousands of pictures and videos :D However, I think I've managed to pick some good ones to give you an idea of what I've been doing.

Enjoy!

Unfortunately, the video doesn't want to get uploaded here, so here is the link to it on Facebook:

Home, sweet home :)

Wow, it has been more than a week, since I arrived in Denmark/Germany and you are probably wondering if it is good or bad, normal or weird, or just nice?!! To be honest, the answer to this question isn’t as straightforward as you might think...

I really had the most perfect welcome last Saturday, even though my luggage chose to stay in Frankfurt :D A big thank you to my family and friends, who welcomed me at the airport, surprised me with a nice cheese and champagne brunch and a perfect bbq (yes, now it’s back to bbq instead of braai :D) in the evening! It was perfect!!!

Just have a look:

Laura, Rieke, Diara and Bela at the airport :)

Happy mum :)

My bag arrived at 20 hours :)
Oh, by the way...believe it or not!!! But my bag only weighed 19,1 kg!!!

At home in Harrislee (Germany) :)

Now you might think, how stupid is Vivi?! Why is she saying it’s difficult to answer, if it’s nice to be home or not, when she had such a nice welcome?!! Well, it really is difficult to explain :D
Of course it really is AMAZING to be home again and back to an European lifestyle. There are so many things I have missed and I’m really looking forward to start my master of Science in Humanities and Social Sport Sciences in Copenhagen :)
However, I have to admit that everything is quite overwhelming as well…it might sound stupid but it’s a bit of a culture shock, just the other way around…and of course I’m also missing a lot from my life in Zambia…Hence, my first week at home has been with a bit of mixed feelings...
However, I just had an AMAZING weekend at the Northside Festival in Århus with a lot of friends :) It was the perfect first weekend at home!

Here are some impressions:

Yes, we are wearing animal t-shirts :D

Thanks for a nice weekend!!!

Well, I don’t have so much more to say than THANK YOU for reading my blog :) I hope you enjoyed it. If you want to hear more about my life, you can just send me a text or call me. I still have the same numbers :)
