My first post

Finally, I managed to create a blog :) It’ll give you an insight in my life as an Zambian the next year and I’ll try my best to keep you updated as much as I can in a not too boring way ;)
So where am I and what is next?
Yesterday morning I left Harrislee, after having spent a nice but also quite busy week at home with my family. I started the week with getting all my wisdom teeth out and my computer felt sorry for me and decided to get ill as well. I can’t imagine a better start :D Luckily, I had a good friend who was able to fix the computer and happily, I didn’t have to much pain. Further, I spent my time with meeting friends, getting the last things done and packing (I’m not allowed to carry more than 20 kg with me, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me to pack :D).
Next stop was Copenhagen, where I spent an amazing night out with far too much beer, shots and of course Mojitos :D With my 5 bags and a little hangover I made my way to Oslo this midday, where I’m going to stay the next week. After having had a nice dinner with Karl-Frederik and Frank (two guys who also are going to Africa), I’m now sitting in my hotel room and getting ready for tomorrow.
What is going to happen the next week?
Since, I’m going to study “Sport, Culture and Development Cooperation” at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences the next year, I’ve classes the whole next week. I’m really looking forward to see and spend time with all the other people from the “Idretts Fredskorps” and get more knowledge about, what I’m actually going to do the next year :)
Friday Bela and Laura are coming to Oslo, my mum is coming Saturday and Kai is coming Sunday. So, it’s going to be a lovely weekend, before I’m heading to Lusaka, Zambia, on Monday the 6th of August.
My feelings and thoughts?
Well, those who know me know that I’m still a bit scared. But isn’t that natural? However, I’m also REALLY excited and can’t wait to get started, meet my host family in Zambia, learn a lot about myself, life and cultures, to meet the people I’m going to work with and just experience a lot :)
